The stupid thing is really big right now on 4Chan, and just as always, Gamefaqs copied them and now they are obsessed, too.

It's getting really annoying, I do admit. I can't get on Current Events without seeing links to pictures of the show, quotes from the show, several topics about it, etc.

No I'm being serious.

And it's bugging me because I like to know why things are everywhere.

...Looking back I think 4chan has to do with 99% of the things that are everywhere.

Theres some new MLP show that's begun a cult following thanks to 4chan.
I don't believe that it's really that people enjoy it, they just watch it and post it for the sake of being annoying, despite them sounding serious.
In reality, it's a little kid's show about the figures of My Little Pony about magic, and frankly has some strong lesbian undertones.
4chan took the show and put it off on the internet as "badass" and making memes and captioned images about it.

Okay, after sheer curiosity, and seeing it everywhere, I decided to watch the series.... yes, all of it. All 26 episodes.

And I must say, although I still don't understand the massive internet hype, I can understand the cult following this series has recieved.
As a modern day children's show, it feels alot less modern than it is. It definitly breaks away from the usual crap the children's industry of today is spewing out by the barrel full, and comes off as a successful television show.
It is a very welcome change and in a step in the right direction to getting most people's childhoods back.

And, while targetted to girls, it is barely girly at all. Sure, there is the character or two that comes off as excessivly girly, but that's the usual norm to have a few characters of that type. For example, the only main character that could come off as girly is Rarity, because she is all about fashion. But it isn't a modern "let's all go shopping at the mall!" kind of fashion interest, it is a serious "this is what I love to do therefore it will be what I do with my life."

While watching, I honestly found myself taken in, because while the show is targetted for children, and seen in one way by children, adults and teens can see it differently too. For example again, the character of Pinky Pie. A child will watch and say something along the lines of "haha she is so silly!" while an adult would watch her and say "damn it to hell she's retarded" in a similar way one would to Peter on the show Family Guy.

And it isn't about children. The ponies in the show are actually full grown adults who have matured and gotten jobs. They have their own homes, income, they buy food, support their families, and run the town they live in. It isn't the cliche of children getting in awkward situations like you'd see on any network nowadays, which is nice.

The show will also make cliche references that are long gone. When was the last time you watched a children's cartoon and they did the Benny Hill chase cliche? How long? A decade? A child now would never get that reference, and this show even used a remix of the original Benny Hill Song.

And, while there are musical numbers, they are in no way cheesy. Some have good tunes and are quite nice to listen to. And while there are the occasional cheesy ones, the characters in the show will facepalm and be annoyed by it just as much as the older audience does.

Now, while this may not be for everyone, it was nothing less than a wonderful experience to finally find a new cartoon show for kids that isn't some annoying program that causes the previous generation to despise the current one.
If it's still not your thing, I wouldn't suggest it, but it's worth a try if you're looking for something new or just trying to find a way to pass the time.
Just don't let no one catch you watching if you're self consious, hehe.

Either way during my long absence a Megaman communtiy started a Skype Conversation Group. And Let's say a good chunk of people are obsessed with this show. And causing other people to become addicted to the show in question.

So I've taken it upon myself to save the world! So to speak

(I don't hate it, I should add just the whole Everywhere thing)

After writing a parody (Of the mob song. See Negi. You didn't do it I must fulfill it!)

But then I decided to make an RPG Maker XP game.

Still working on it now. Reason I haven't been on here as much.

And the one guy behind most of it is the antagonist.

Keeping it somewhat serious.

But now I'm the "Saving the World" Guy.



..So even if I wanted to I am incapable of looking at it as the chance of getting addicted to it would just mess with everything going on in my game.

But I digress

Hehe, I remember RPG Maker. I was addicted to those programs when I was younger. (XP and a few other editions)

I made a TON of stuff. I used Final Fantasy sprites and filled in cutscenes with Final Fantasy FMVs and audio, I loved just messing around with them.
A project never made it the first 20 minutes tho, so I never really had a finished product.

But, I digress, good luck to you I say!

I used to do what you said with the Final Fantasy things.

Then I made two really short (About 20 minutes) insane games (The plot is almost non existent. In one Youtube is the main villain. In the other it's the devil) And over the time I have got enough skill to know how to do things.

Like make Trees explode.
