Shinigami's Story

I helped him put this together, and he's busy so I offered to post it.
Feel free to give any feedback and I'll relay it to him.


Part 1/10

This is a flashback to how Shinigami joined Dude's team.
Shinigami has just been summoned, has been told to fight, but is still confused at how to go about this.
He doesn't need this right now, he has more important things to do in his own world.
He takes a rest to gather his thoughts, all this is in Hell's Throne.
His thoughts are interupted when someone arrives. Elice.
Elice and Heimdalgc were there, about to fight over difference in ideals, before the two notice Shinigami.
Two against one seemed easy, they believed, so they teamed up against him.
He raises his blade to fight but has doubts on whether he can we.
Before the fight starts, Dark runs in and stands by his side to help.

Fight #1: Shinigami with an assist of Dark VS Elice with an assist of Heimdalgc

After losing, the two flee and leave the 2 heroes alone.
Dark notices Shinigami was alone.
Dark has been travelling with Xan and Dude, and offered Shinigami to join.
Shinigami puts up a tough guy act, and claims he has better things to do.
Dark says that the offer is there, if he needs it.
Shinigami agrees, on the ground he has total freedom to leave whenever he wishes.
Dark agrees, and allows Shinigami to join.

Part 2/10

This takes place after Dude's 2/10.
The team had been travelling for a while, and have come across two villians.
Blade and Guardian Shadow.
Shinigami recognises Blade and challenges him to battle.
Blade has caused him alot of trouble in their own worlds so he wants revenge.

Fight #2: Shinigami with an assist of Dude VS GuardianShadow with an assist of Blade

After the fight, the team learns that Blade was trying to take control of a ship.
Being a pilot, Shinigami wants to take control, and thankfully the villians flee afterwards.
They rush to the ship.

Part 3/10

Shinigami recognises the ship as his own.
Dude starts to believe that Shinigami is bad news, and decides to get rid of him before he can do any harm.

Fight #3: Shinigami VS Dude

Shinigami is thankfully able to convince Dude he's on Sanaki's side, and Dude lowers his weapons.
The team boards the ship and heads off to take care of more enemies.

Part 4/10

Negi and Syrup have joined on the ship in an attempt to track down Negi's old friend Snow.
Negi and Shinigami engage in a dialogue about Negi's past.
Because this is Shinigami's story, he will give a little backstory of his as well.
Everything is cut short however when the ship is attacked by STUNNA and Ballandchain.
Negi and Dude fight the two off.
Shinigami notices smoke coming from the bottom of the ship.
He hands control of the ship over to Dark momentarilly while he and Xan go below to find the problem.
They find that the ship had caught flame. They also discover that the culprit was Syrup.
Shinigami is furious that his ship caught fire.

Fight #4: Shinigami with an assist of Xan VS Syrup

Syrup breaks a whole through the bow and jumps ship after losing the fight.
Shinigami and Xan run to the deck just as Dude throws Negi off the ship.
The remaining four brace for impact as the ship goes down.

Part 5/10

Shinigami, Xan, and Dark awake in Orphan's Cradle. Dude seems to have vanished.
They look around the area, but it seems he's gone.
Everyone acts worried, but Dark assures that Dude is strong, he can take care of himself.
Everyone starts to discuss about where to continue before Shinigami realizes he must find his crashed ship.
He lived on that ship and there were many prized possessions, so he goes off alone to find it.
On his way out however, he is stopped by Photshopo.
He has set up an inescapable barrier around Orphan's Cradle, so that he can trap and dispose of the three while weakened.
Shinigami and Dark step forward to fight.

Fight #5: Shinigami with and assist of Dark VS Photshopo

Photshopo vanishes without a word after the fight, clearly bothered, and the barrier is broken.
Dark and Xan ask if Shinigami is serious about leaving the team.
"There's something important I must find. That ship was my life, and like my life, it'll end on my terms."
Shinigami leaves the team.

Part 6/10

Shinigami has been wandering close in the area, trying to find his ship.
He makes it to Kefka's Tower, where Kitmeng seems faces him.
"I heard you are searching for your ship. Am I correct?"
"Do you know where it is?"
"...Perhaps."
"Simple question. Do you know where my ship is!?"
"Such strong words. Alone, do you have the strength to back it up?"
"He's not alone!"
Rune runs in, and stands by Shinigami, wanting to help him.

Fight #6: Shinigami with an assist of Rune VS Kitmeng

Kitmeng steps down, yet not ready to admit defeat.
"You are quite powerful. But your sword may as well be paper against my mighty magic!"
Kitmeng prepares a devastating attack and fires it at Shinigami and rune.
Before the attack hits, a sword and Aeon blasts the attack away.
Fallen and Epic Girl block the attack.
Zero appears and pushes Shinigami and Rune out of the way.
He tells them the ship crashed far from here, and the fastest way to find it would be taking the Phantom Train.
Shinigami asks why, and Zero tells him it's because Blade is looking for it.
Shinigami and Rune escape.

Part 7/10

Shinigami and Rune have boarded the Phantom Train.
"Why did you protect me back there?"
"You looked like you needed help."
"I don't, I'm strong enough. I can take any foe!"
Again, Shinigami puts up the tough guy act.
"Such strong words." The ship suddenly comes to a screeching halt.
Igroundwalker appears on the train.
"It would appear you know where Epic Girl is. The stench of Aeon is burned on you."
Shinigami and Rune shout that they'll never tell where she is.

Fight #7: Shinigami with an assist of Rune VS Igroundwalker

She is defeated in battle and dissappears off the train.
Even after she's gone, the train does not continue moving.
The two step off the train to find where it left them.

Part 8/10

Igroundwalker's magic was powerful. She had alter the course of displacement as the train moved, and Shinigami and Rune now stood atop Sky Fortress Bahamut.
The train suddenly speeds off as they look at their surroundings.
"The end of the line is nigh, pirate!"
Shinigami and Rune notice Zell on the ship.
Zell has been using the ship as his own base of operations it seems.
He tells that another pirate, named Blade, was here not long ago and tried to take control of the power fortress.
Zell fought and turned Blade in the direction of another ship that had crashed recently.
Shinigami knows it was his ship, and he prepares to fight.
But right before he could do anything, a powerful punch sends Rune flying off the edge.
Even more enraged, Shinigami raises his sword.

Fight #8: Shinigami VS Zell

Zell never stops attacking even when the fight is over.
Shinigami does his best to block the barrage of punches, but to no avail.
Shinigami is thrown off the side.

Part 9/10

"So, you've awoken."
Shinigami awakes and looks up.
He is at Crystal Tower, looks up, and see's Sanaki.
"Did you.... save me?"
"I did."
"And Rune!?"
"She is fine. I stopped her fall, and she immediatly ran off to find you."
"I see."
"... You have a very protective nature. As expected of a family man."
"I don't have a family anymore."
"You do. You have a wife waiting for your return, somewhere in your home world. And you have a child, waiting for you on the other side."
"Like I said, I don't have one. They both left me. Now I'm nothing but an ex-pirate."
"Now now, I don't believe that. That life is far behind you. Your are no longer a pirate of any sort. You're just Shinigami."
"Stop talking like you know who I am. You're the jerk who dragged me here. If it wasn't for you, I'd be looking for my wife right now!"
"You have alot of pent up anger towards me. Perhaps you should let it out!"

Fight #9L Shinigami VS Sanaki

The fight ends in an agreed draw. Shinigami has calmed down.
Sanaki knows where Shinigami's ship is, and points him in the right direction.
Shinigami thanks Sanaki for everything, and rushes off.

Final Part

Shinigami makes it to the ship, which is looking much better than before.
It starts to take off, but Shinigami jumps on.
He rushes to the front before it can go anywhere, and knocks someone from the controls.
It's Blade.
Blade laughs and talks about taking such a fine vessel for himself and returning home.
Out for revenge, Shinigami says never.
WHile the ship continues to do nothing but hover, Shinigami prepares for sweet revenge.

Final Fight: Shinigami VS Blade

Shinigami defeats Blade, and while he's dying, he talks about Shinigami never being able to let go of the pirate that makes him.
A flash of light illuminates the ship's bow. Shinigami looks off as a crystal is formed before his eyes.
He takes it and lowers the ship back down.
When it lands, he sees Rune in the field, seemingly waiting for the ship to land.
She says she's glad he's alright. She also tells him his teammates Xan and Dark were worried about him, and told him they were at The Rift, waiting.
He begins to head off. but Rune stays behind.
"Ain't you coming?"
"No thanks, I have my own demons to face." She smiles.
"Suit yourself. Just be sure not to get in anymore trouble! You took a pretty big punch back there. You're tough."
"So are you."
The two laugh, and with crystal in hand, Shinigami leaves Rune behind to meet his team again.

Going to edit the timeline shortly but first a couple things
1. That is not exactly how the battle where I fight him works..but it is more or less a rough draft so it's cool
2. Everyone seems to love Zell!
3. I hope the placement of Sky Fortress Bahamut does not lead to a time paradox...well I'll see when I edit the timeline
which will be now.

Edit: Woo...lets try to put the other stories at different times. It's getting more difficult not to break something.
I didn't add this in the timeline but the way things work is that
Dude gets to SFB fights Dragmire and Zell
Dragmire and Dude leave
Shiny and Rune come along
and Zell is still wanting to beat people up.

Does that not work? Or is that alright?
And the reason things tie in together like this is because we have a four person party, which means 4 individual stories and they have no choice but to tie in at a bunch of points.
We seem to have just about everyone in this group covered though so the next couple of people to make stories will probably break free alot more.

Yeah it works.
Xan and Dark take place BEFORE all of this so that is good.
