Guess whaaaat...

I've almost done the draft of the first Ortus a Cado quest!
It's not a part of the main story; rather, it's the origin quest of Hero that I've referenced before. Since this isn't affected by any other character's story, it can be done right now.
It's a draft mainly due to the fact that the enemies have preset settings and I haven't done balancing yet, but it shows what it can be like.
Two things I want to note before I finish:
- This will show us what an abridged script for a cutscene will look like. Like I mentioned before, when we actually send these out, we will attach a text document that gives the full details. So, the one here is sort of short and doesn't show everything, but it does let the player get an idea of what is going on, and you also get to see some of Hero's banter against the Fiends.
- When you create a story, you are allowed to use three mini-icons with it. For this, I used a black wing (representing Ortus a Cado), the Blue I numeral (representing Hero, as he is played by Warrior of Light), and the gravestone (representing the origin story; for the normal quests, we can use the white numerals to indicate what part it is).

...hmm the description for the quest should mention (for almost each one) that the characters in the quest are NOT the characters they are represented by (Hero isn't Warrior of Light, Sanaki isn't Emperor etc.)

I'll probably finish it tomorrow or Thursday; I've got quite a bit (non-quest related) to do. I hope that once my semester ends this month, I will be able to work on the proper part of my story and The Silver Dragoon series of quests.

I am thinking of making a Prequel for Dude's story....don't have much battle material though. Have to think that out.

Sorry, but it might be delayed a little bit. I have quite a bit of schoolwork to do these next few days, but hopefully I'll be able to finish this up; I just need to write up three more cutscenes, and then check the battles a bit (I don't want it to be too easy or too hard; they have a stupid tendency to equip the Back to the Wall accessory).
On another note, I got the UMD for Duodecim today! I had spare money this month, since the only other game I want to buy right now is FFIV: CC. And on the note of FFIV, I hope they give us our first music DLC pack around the time it's launched (as that's when it was in Japan, IIRC)

And yeah, I can understand why it wouldn't work as well for you guys. I specifically made my backstory so that I could make a quest about it, so it's much easier in my case.

Okay, I've completed the draft version! (remember, the reason it's a draft is because the enemies aren't customized yet; they're supposed to have the summon of the Fiend they represent). I will upload it soon.
Battles 1, 2, and 3, Hero has the advantage, 4 is about even, and you have to be careful in Battle 5; despite you having a level advantage, you can be destroyed if you're not careful!
As a bonus, as I recently got the Aya Brea costume for Lightning, 'Marilith' is wearing it just for fun. It you don't have it, it'll just be normal Lightning, I think.

Could somebody test the upload to see it I did it correctly? This is my first time using this, so I don't know if I did it right or not.

You definitely have better equips than I do. A lot better equips than I do.
Marilith is normal Lightning.

Well time for my short review.
First off I know this is in your moveset but only Shield of Light in Air is annoying. I ended up mostly relying on BRV-HP Chains.
I'm curious where you got that good equipment...Most likely in 000 somewhere (I'm still have 2 DO's to finish so I don't know for certain)

Now that I've finished it, my quick little review.
I thought your moveset was fine, well mostly. It took me some getting used to having Crossover instead of Rising Buckler, but it worked out fine.
Tiamat was the hardest battle. Dragmire was the easiest.
Also, nice equipment. You also probably used the rulesets to increase the EX time, which was nice. Overall, I enjoyed it. Good job.

Yeah, that's why it's a draft; I still need to balance it a bit better. The thing is, Hero doesn't have any equips at all in the battle against Dragmire (if you remember reading the story, he had to discard his armor due to Dragmire's curse), so I need to find the right level for him to be to pose a threat to Hero without being frustratingly hard; at level 90 with the best equips, he can break Hero in a single combo, while Hero can't do much in the way of Brave damage, which is supposed to be balanced out by the Bravery bonus.
I guess I could've had Radiant Sword, but it's not really Hero's kind of attack; I prefer him to be more of a direct fighter. His Brv-HP links are a key aspect, and they are how I use WoL mainly (heck, Bitter End was the attack that defeated Feral Chaos).
Yeah, I did some equipment stuff in 000; there's a quick way to get lots of Lufenian equipment, which I felt was appropriate for the situation. I also have the Genji, Snowpetal, and Machine sets as of now, and some of the Adamant gear and Dragon set (which I needed before I started the Silver Dragoon quest series)
And good eye, Jeryl! I'm using 'Hero's Rule', a custom ruleset I made, that buffs Ex Mode (I actually had to tweak this a few times, as the first few made it too easy to get Ex Mode), and also bans summons and certain accessories (they had an annoying habit of equipping the Back to the Wall accessory, which I did not want). When I make the finished one, I'm using a slight variation, 'Hero's RuleS', which is basically the same thing except that it allows summons (since the Four Fiends are supposed to use themselves as their summon)

Since I enjoyed making that draft quest, I will also be doing it for Hero's Destiny Odyssey. In both cases, I will be waiting for the PS store to be back up before I do that real ones (after all, I can't make Sanaki look like Light Empy before then 
). I'm mainly playing FFIV: CC at the moment, but once I'm done some Challenge Dungeon stuff, I will be working on those and the Silver Dragoon quest series.

Okay, I believe this week I'll be doing up the quest drafts. My first order of note is to find out if 4 quests of 3 battles works out fine cutscene-wise. If that works out fine, here's a recap of what each part will be...
Part 1 is Hero fighting Dragmire, Yukanna, and Igroundwalker.
Part 2 is Hero fighting Zell, Zero, and Sanaki.
Part 3 is Hero fighting Rune, Elice, and Syrup.
Part 4 has the... special battle... then Hero fights Kitmeng and Dragmire.

Just so you know I am actually doing something here, I will post a few notes I'm keeping in mind for the design of the DO:
- Spoiler:
- - Despite what I said, I will be editing four of the opponents; the two fights against Dragmire, Sanaki, and the illusion fight. The rest I'll just set levels and difficulty for.
- The difficulty should go like this; Fight 1 is an advantage to Hero, 2-5 are more or less even, Sanaki is stronger in fight 6, fight 7 against Rune is easier (since it's the other side of Rune's mid-fight, so Hero would have the advantage in Rune's story as well), 8 is even, 9 is a bit tougher, 10 is a bit easier to make up for the sudden change, and the last two are harder.
- The character levels on both sides increase throughout the story; for the sake of the draft, Hero's level in the first fight will be 20, and his last fight will be somewhere between 70 and 90.
- To cut Hero's HP in fights 1 and 5, I am omitting his body armor equip in those fights, and in the first fight he will have equips in his other slots that lower his HP. I don't want to use the Back to the Wall accessory as that would cut his HP by too much. Also, the Side by Side accessory will be used in fight 11 instead of the Bone Mail, as it locks Hero's Ex Mode like I wanted, by isn't limited by level.
- A few changes in stages will be made; Fight 5 against Zero takes place in Orphan's Cradle instead of the Top Floor of Pandemonium, where fight 6 against Sanaki takes place instead (I had it in Order's Sanctuary to fit that trailer, but since we're aborting that, I am making it in the normal arena). Fight 7 against Rune takes place on the Rift to coincide with Rune's story, while the next fight against Elice, which originally took place here, instead takes place in Kefka's Tower. In the story, Elice knocks back Rune and then changes the locale, then Dark shows up. This leads to even more suspicion about Dark's sudden appearance; how did he know to go there and not the Rift?
- Now that I've mastered the 'Equip X' abilities for everyone, I am using them in a few cases, most notably in Fight 10 where the equipment seems totally wrong for the opponent.
