Team Negi Discussion

Alright, so my team is me and Syrup, who at some point betrays me.
At various points in my story, he will vanish to cause destruction and appear again as if he never left.

But I REALLY need help with my story.
The biggest plot of my story, is me being a protector and coming to people's rescues.
Meaning, I have to come to your guy's, as in the hero's, side to help them in danger.
And Syrup will cause you guys trouble when I leave.

I need alot of help because you guys will be jerking me around all over the place, needing saving here and there, and having me run to the rescue.
So I need to know who I'm saving, when, why, who I have to fight, and what happens storywise before and after.

So, who's holding out for a hero?

I already decided you'll be one of the guys I interact with in my story (ie, not during the main bulk)

How should our interactions come to pass Dekm?

I'm saving you in hell. How do you think you'd interact to that? :3

I feel that since I found myself again after my battle with Syrup, I would attempt being grateful, to try and get back to my old self, emotions and all.

There ya go, problem solved!

Currently, me and Sanaki are breaking up who will save who between us.

Have we set a cap for how many battles there will be in everyone's individual story?

That might be a good place to get going if we don't so that way one's story won't be longer than others, unless it needs to be.

Me and sanaki have already calculated that me and him would need two stories each to save everybody

Well, it has to be a multiple of 5, if that's how long each created quest has to be.

Also, I believe we talked at one point about Negi and the Hero teaming up at a certain point, didn't we? Hero can sense when people are in danger and has a habit of trying to help those in need, so it seems like a good partnership, doesn't it?

Well, we need to know which who's story that will happen in.

If it happen's in Hero's:

I team up with him once when I see him rescue someone and see him as a powerful ally.
I'm basically emotionless, but I know when I need help and I find a strong ally in him, so I team up with him for one of his battles, and for that section of the story.

If it happen's in mine:

We both show up in the knick of time to save someone, and we have a conversation about paths before I walk off on my own and we part ways.

Meaning, us teaming up in his story might be a whole part, but him showing up in mine might be just a quick thing after a battle.
Which you guys prefer?

We might meet up but I'm not so sure at the moment.

I'm going to move my story along, because after next week, my online activity is going to die. (I'm getting my 3DS next week).

Alright, my story is going to start with my conversation with Snow.
She will be happy to reunite with me and ask to join me in the war.
My upbringing changed me and I decline and leave.
This all occurs in Empyreal Paradox.

After leaving, Sanaki sends me a message that someone is in trouble in Ultimecia's Castle. (I'm just going to pick some random areas at some points).
It's Epic Girl.
During a battle, she got strayed from Fallen, and ended up here.
Thaumaturge found her and took the opportunity to take her down.
Syrup had the same idea and decided to team up with Thaumaturge to destroy her once and for all.
But before Epic Girl is attacked, I appear.
Syrup sees me and lurks back, and instead watches me and Epic fight against Thamaturge.

This will be my first battle, fighting Thaumaturge (Garland 1st Alt) with an assist of Epic Girl (Yuna 1st alt).

After I win, Syrup reappears, saying he was too late to help her and that I was a good guy for doing it.
He asks to join me, because he wants to help too. (Obviously everything he is saying is BS)
I reluctantly agree, barring he doesn't get in my way down the road, and we leave.
Epic Girl tries to warn me before I walk off, because she knows the truth about Syrup, but Fallen finally finds her.
He says that they must hurry and get going before more lurkers are drawn there to fight.
She looks back, praying that I discover the truth on my own before it's too late.

Now, heres an interesting connection idea.
What if, after I leave, they have a battle in Fallen or Epic girl's story, where they face an enemy and it goes badly?
Meaning, something in their story happens, that causes me to blame myself for leaving them.
They don't have to lose their fight, just get into a serious scuffle, related to Syrup in some way, and I end up finding out in the next part of my story, and get guilty.
This will have to be planned by either Fallen or Epic Girl though, if they want it in one part of their story.

So, that's part 1/5 of my story.
Ideas, opinions, questions?

Stuff just got real
not really but still!

Alright, onto an idea for 2/5.

After the fight with Thaumaturge, Syrup began following me.
But as this story begins, he wandered off somewhere. I of course think nothing of it, as I've never cared about him, so I continue.
I decide to take Phantom Train, because I've grown tired of travelling places.
After riding for a bit, I notice there are a few people on the train. Hero of Time is in the back, off in his own world, but there is someone in the seat next to me. I talk to him, and it's NarutoVsIchigo.
He asks where I'm headed, I say I'm going to find people in need.
Tought in school not to be rude when asked questions, I asked him in response what he is doing.
He tells me he's looking for someone.
I ask if it's someone important. He tells me, it's an important prey.
Realizing its a Shadow Lurker, I confront him and ask who he's after. With a laugh he tells me, it's Snow.
For the first time I felt worried about this her, so I confront him in battle. Hero sees this and joins me in battle.

This is my second battle, me with an assist of Hero of Time fighting NarutoVsIchigo.

We technically win, but only because after we win the battle he jumps of the train.
I act anxious after finding out that he's hunting Snow, but Hero of Time tells me to get a hold of myself.
I ask him how he can remain so controlled in the war, as I am having trouble handling my emotions being reborn.
There is a dialogue about warrior's paths, before we exit the train. He agrees to aid me in my search for Snow, but just for now.

And this ends the second part of my story.

Question time!
I most likely said this before but...
are these parts different quests or just one big quest
Because I was under the impression that we would have to make it in a few parts due to the 5 battle limit.

Yeah, we really need to figure this out. I can't really finish my idea unless I know this, otherwise I'd make it too big for 5 battles.

Each character's story is going to be one big quest consisting of 5 battles each.
The limit of battles per quest is five, and thats enough to give each character their own story.
Having this limit also allows us to keep it fair, and not give certain people more or less importance, relevence, or game time.

So, there will be 5 parts to my story.
Each part will have beginning dialogue, battle, ending dialogue.
This will most likely be how it's like for each person's story.
They'll act like personal Destiny Oddessys, one for everybody.

Something I'm wondering about it...

Can we add as many cutscenes as we need before a battle (like changing stages)

That is something I don't know yet.

But, in two weeks I am getting this game imported.
This way, I can try out the quest creation system, and come back and tell you guys how it works and what we can and can't do.

Part 3/5

Me and Hero continue to travel, and make it to Dream's End.
This is where Syrups reappears and meet up with us.
Syrup informs me that not long after I left, something terrible happened to Fallen, Epic, and their team.
I ask what, and he tells me he doesn't know, just that they were badly hurt.
Hero see's through Syrup's lies and raises his sword to him. Syrup faces him and calls him a traitor for wanting to fight a "friend".
The two engage in dialogue before asking me to make the choice between which side I choose to take.
Confused, I pick Syrup, because I knew him longer.
It is then that DEKM, the wandering warrior appears, and sees me and Syrup teaming up on Hero. He takes Hero's side in the fight against us.

This is the 3rd battle, me with an assist of Syrup vs Hero with an assist of Dekm.

We "win" and after the battle, Hero storms off to warn Sanaki of me becoming a traitor.
Dekm watches him go and turns to me. He knows who I am, but I never took the time to learn who everyone is, which is why I've been confused over people's siding.
He tells me to watch closely over those closer to me. Whether it's friends in danger, or friends of danger.
I ask him what he means. He says I'll learn soon enough.
He also knows how I've been looking for Snow. I ask him in a panic if he knew where she was. He said she's in danger, and that I can't make it fast enough.
He tells me to get help from the team in charge of an airship. Dude's team. He then leaves.
I take Syrup and rush to the Prima Vista, where my next story will take place.

I'd like a little feedback before I continue.
How does everyone feel about it?

I quite like it so far. I think part 3's my favourite so far.

BTW, is it okay if I add in a battle in my story that takes place between parts 2 and 3 of yours? I figure that in some cases there will be a bit of overlap between stories, and this is a good chance to explain a bit of his motivations since he has someone to talk to.

Of course.
I want to promote as much overlapping as possible, which is why we should get a bit more active in eachother's stories then we are right now.
It definitly sounds like a good idea.

Just noticed that if joins you at the end of 1 and leaves at the beginning of 2
Hero of Time Joins at end of 2 and throughout 3
You either knew them the same amount of time or Hero more.

Just felt like sharing.
